Women have always been keepers of family stories and having photographic records of family and events in our lives is important to many of us.

Good photography skills make telling our stories more interesting with it's immense visual appeal as well as providing an immediate connection through the photos.

attended Washi (japanese paper tearing/cutting) & wrapping class today, different culture, different technique, even thou we dont speak the same language but its interesting and we had FUN! Here's pix of both sensei and their beautiful work/art..

random thots...

i've been wanting to learn some new crafts, i want to take weaving class, i want to take pottery class, i want to learn to sew clothes for my daughter, i want to learn to sew quilt, i want to learn how to cook good food for missy (no more soup soup soup), i want to take a pilates or yoga class to reduce fat :p, i want to go to scandinavia again with missy and hub, i want to finish my second master(which is long overdue, with only 5 subjects to go but i m just so not into it), i want to learn to ride a horse or at least have the guts to go up on a horse back, i want to open a little childcare center, i want to wake up without being a nasty monster, i want to go on shopping holidays with my girlfriends, i want a scrap room, i want to work less, i want to have and do so many things ...

there are just not enough hours in the day, if i can buy the hours by the jars, i will do it without second thots but i dont have the money too...hahahah

however, it still nice to have dreams...

happy birthday, E..

i have been thinking, thinking about the year that had (or almost) passed, thinking about the new coming year, thinking about whats my new plan for the next year..
everyone - including hubby and father-in-law told me to take a break from furthering my study for phd, be happy with my masters for now, take a break for a year or so.. take it slow and break away from the busy lifestyle i had for the past 15 months..relax and love life..

& this just came to me : i will learn and am going to accept myself for who and what i am!

i am going to accept the fact that yes i will screw up,
i am going to accept the fact that not everyone will thinks likewise....
i am going to accept that sometime i can't even spell simple words and was made fun of due to my learning disabilities...
i am going to accept that the house is not going to be 100% clean 24 hours a day since i have no helper...
i am going to live in the moment and accept the day that what i have been given...
i am going to be happy that I have the opportunity to watch my daughter plays in the sun...and the opportunity to watch the sunset with her,
the gift of having my the other half coming home with nite snack that will made me fat.....
i’m going to accept the fact that i have gray hairs coming in faster than I can count, that i have those extra pounds to lose, those wrinkles that starts to appear and try to embrace them as much as i could before i start banging my head on that mirror or change to a smaller mirror that will not shown those grey hairs and wrinkles... ;p
i am going to accept me for me… yes,

this new year, i am going to accept the simple me for me... :p

the past monthly crop sessions at Changi~Simei CC.
Thank you also for all the Fun, Food, Good humour, Tips and Techniques
that you've had shared with us during these sessions.

its with sad notice that {Create} will no longer be hosting the
future crops due to it's other commitments.
But "Season 2" of crops at Changi~Simei will still continue.
it will be host directly by WEC of Changi~Simei and
co-host by new partner - our craft place -
starting this 11th Oct 2008 - same time & same place,
so hope to see you then for those who had signed up :p
cant wait to crop with you again, my dear friendz
it will be another fun, fun, fun crop! :))

and after much consideration and to scale down on my commitments,
i had resigned from {Create}
and here
wishes {Create} and Ed much success with its new DT members.
